Fully electric
A tank of electricity costs a fraction of a tank of fuel, and fills up while you sleep.
An electric vehicle changes two things day to day: you leave every morning with a full charge, and you never stop to fill up again. The rest — the silence, the instant torque, the reduced servicing — comes as a bonus.
Nine charges out of ten happen at home, overnight, when electricity costs least. Public chargers become the exception, not the rule.
Quebec's charging network covers the province. A fast charge restores most of the range in the time it takes to drink a coffee.
No oil, no spark plugs, no belts, no exhaust. Brakes last longer thanks to regenerative braking.

Plan for 20 to 30% less in deep cold: cabin heating and a cold battery both cost energy. Pre-heating the vehicle while it is still plugged in limits the loss considerably.
On a 240-volt home charger, a night is more than enough. On a fast charger, expect around thirty minutes for most of the charge, depending on model and temperature.
It loses capacity very slowly and carries its own warranty, longer than the base coverage. The habits that wear it least: avoid relying on fast charging, and do not leave it at 100% for weeks.
In the vast majority of cases, yes — an electrician assesses your panel. Subsidy programs exist for residential installation; we will tell you which ones apply.
